Facial harmonization with Botulinum Toxin
Facial Harmonization is a non-surgical, innovative technique that gives the face proportionality and greater balance, and highlights the natural beauty of each person. According to the patient’s needs and wishes, by performing a variety of aesthetic procedures it is possible to rejuvenate the facial skin and correct some aspects of the face, enhancing the favorable points and attenuating/correcting the less symmetrical points.
This treatment requires no recovery period and the results are visible after only a few days. The durability of the result will depend on the procedure to be performed, as well as the absorption capacity of each patient.
Frequently requested facial corrections:
•Dark circles: improve deep under-eye circles;
• Nose: align, raise or lower the tip;
• Cheekbones: define or increase volume;
• Lips: increase volume and define the contour;
• Chin: increase the projection and its volume;
• Jaw line: define, lengthen, or increase the angle.
Botulinum toxin treatment
With the facial expressions of everyday life there is a contraction of the facial muscles that, as the years go by, give rise to wrinkles and expression marks. Better known by the commercial name of Botox, this substance allows, through the application of small amounts to specific muscles, the contraction of those muscles and, consequently, the elimination or reduction of existing dynamic wrinkles. Botulinum toxin can be applied preventively to delay the appearance of wrinkles, but also to correct gummy smile, bruxism situations, and to reduce migraines and hyperhidrosis situations (excessive sweating).
In addition to its many advantages in aesthetic medicine, this substance is used by other medical specialties such as ophthalmology, neurology, pediatrics, and urology.
Through the application of botulinum toxin it is possible to eliminate/attenuate:
• Deep wrinkles;
• Expression wrinkles;
• Vertical lines between the eyebrows;
• Wrinkles in the frontal region “forehead”;
• Wrinkles in the outer corner of the eye “crow’s feet”;
• Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis);
The treatment effect starts to be seen from day 3, reaches its peak between day 7 and 14, and can last between 6 months and a year. Botulinum Toxin is contraindicated for pregnant or breast-feeding women, people with muscle diseases, or those who are allergic to this substance.
