Mommy Makeover

After motherhood, a woman’s body can undergo the most diverse changes that can negatively impact her self-esteem. This is where, through Plastic Surgery, the Mommy Makeover® process begins: combining several surgeries into a single operative time to recover – or even improve – the pre-pregnancy body.

This is a very advantageous process for the woman, as she only undergoes a single anesthesia and a single recovery period, with immediate results and a higher degree of satisfaction.

The surgeries to be arranged will be previously agreed upon in consultation between the Plastic Surgeon and the patient, according to her needs. Sagging breasts, excess skin and abdominal fat, abdominal diastasis, and changes in the genital region are on the list of major postpartum complaints.

Most common postpartum surgeries and changes:

Augmentation mammoplasty: recommended when, after breast-feeding and weight loss after pregnancy, there is a decrease in breast volume, resulting in an empty-looking breast.

Mastopexy: In case the breast is flaccid and sagging, as a result of breast-feeding and weight fluctuations, Mastopexy will be the surgery that will allow it to be lifted, with or without the placement of implants.

Breast reduction: indicated for situations in which the woman during pregnancy increases her weight and breast volume a lot, but is unable to reverse it in the months after delivery.

Liposuction: the ideal procedure to eliminate localized fat and give back body contouring and definition.

Abdominoplasty: recommended for cases of flaccidity and excess skin in the abdominal region, sometimes accompanied by stretch marks. It allows the correction of abdominal diastasis (separation of the straight abdominal muscles) resulting from pregnancy.

Intimate surgery: surgery to correct and narrow the vaginal canal – which relaxes with vaginal delivery – and correct hypertrophy of the labia majora and labia minora.

To move forward with this transformation process it is important that:

  • Have been a mother for at least 6 months;
  • Have not been breastfeeding for at least 6 months;
