Facelift and Necklift
The Face lift/ Neck lift is the surgical intervention that consists of the removal of excess skin from the face and/or neck and the restructuring of the tissues below the skin in order to obtain a facial rejuvenation.
Through this technique it is possible to improve the appearance, contour and definition of the face and restore a natural and rejuvenated look. Excess skin is carefully removed, repositioned and adapted to the patient’s facial structure, always respecting its contours so that the result is harmonious and as natural as possible.
The Face lift/Neck lift is suitable for those who have:
• Excess skin and moderate flaccidity on the face and/or neck;
• Prominent wrinkles and furrows;
• Depressions in some areas of the face.
When sagging and ageing skin also affects the neck, we resort to a Neck lift. This surgery can be performed in isolation or as a complement to the Face lift. Excess skin and fat is also eliminated and the platysma muscle in the neck is repaired.
Currently, it is possible to perform this surgery with strategically hidden incisions. Depending on the situation, the scar may be localised:
• On the front of the ear
• Behind the ear
• Upper hairline
• Bottom hairline behind the ear
• Under the chin – in case of neck lift.
It is fundamental that after the surgery the patient maintains a daily skin care routine so that the effects of the surgery are prolonged in time.
