Intimate surgery
For genetic reasons, hormonal changes or mainly due to pregnancy, a woman’s genitals can suffer some alterations that interfere with her self-esteem and can affect the intimate life of the couple, such as, for example, a hypertrophy of the labia majora and labia minora. Depending on the clinical situation, we may resort to a Labioplasty and/or a Vaginoplasty.
Labioplasty:
The labia minora and labia majora vary from woman to woman, with different sizes and shapes. When the aspect is not the desired one or the size causes discomfort and interferes with the patient’s sexual life, the solution is a Labioplasty.
Through this surgical procedure, the labia can be reduced, augmented and reshaped when they are too large (hypertrophy), fallen or asymmetrical. In addition to the aesthetic component, many women complain of local irritation due to friction, repeated vulvovaginal infections, discomfort, and pain during exercise and sexual activity.
Hypertrophy of the vaginal lips can occur unilaterally or bilaterally due to, for example:
In the case of the labia majora, it is possible to modify their size and thickness with liposuction (when they are too voluminous) or by filling them with the patient’s own fat (when the lips have no volume and are flaccid)As for the scars, these are hidden by the labia majora.
Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty or Colporraphy makes it possible to restore firmness, correct defects in the vaginal walls, and reduce the diameter of the vaginal canal.
The incision is made between the entrance to the vagina and the anus (perineum) and is unnoticeable after a few days.
